A Faith Based Nurturing Environment for Spiritual and Character Development

At LACS, we believe that character development and spiritual growth are essential components of a child’s education. 

  • LACS integrates Christian beliefs, values, and teachings across the curriculum. Subjects like math, science, language arts, and history are taught from a Christian worldview, relating them to biblical principles.
  • LACS helps our students develop a strong moral compass, empathy, and a sense of responsibility towards others through spiritual development offered in Chapel, Bible classes, and classroom routines. 
  • We offer opportunities for leadership development and community service to encourage students to live out their faith.

 

 

 

Elementary School at a Glance:

Bell Schedule: Our full-day educational program operates from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, with early dismissal on Wednesdays at 2:00 pm.

Extended Day Care: We provide extended day care services from 7:30 am to 8:15 am and from 3:15 pm to 6:00 pm.

Parent Involvement: At LACS, we welcome parent involvement and offer various opportunities for you to participate in our classrooms and school community. However, LACS does not require mandatory volunteer hours per family.

Special Events: We organize numerous special events, including buddy get-togethers, Chapel attendance, participation in the Christmas musical, International Day celebrations, House Color games, pep rallies and more.

Field Trips: Students across all grade levels participate in 3-4 field trips each year. Examples of these trips include visits to Filoli Gardens, De Anza Planetarium, The Tech Museum, San Yuan Batista, a day aboard the Balclutha, and The Gold Rush overnight experience.

After-School Enrichment: Students in grades 3-5 have the opportunity to engage in after-school team sports like flag football, basketball, and volleyball. Additionally, various after-school clubs are available, including chess club, Robotics, Art, and Chinese classes.
