Why LACS?
We understand that choosing the right school for your child is an important decision, and we’d love to share why LACS could be a great fit for your family.
How does LACS challenge and support students?
At LACS, we recognize that every child learns differently. Our teachers are committed to meeting students where they are—encouraging students to excel when ready and offering extra support when needed.
We achieve this through:
✔️ Small Class Instruction – Differentiated learning in reading and math ensures students get personalized attention.
✔️ Differentiated Instruction – We assess students regularly and adjust instruction as needed.
✔️ Advanced Learning Opportunities – We offer enrichment programs like Excel Math (3rd-8th grades), after school robotics, and STEM-based challenges to push students beyond the basics.
✔️ Support Systems – For students who need extra help, we provide learning support services, teacher interventions, and targeted small group instruction to build confidence and skills.
✔️ Experiential Learning – Students in TK-8th grade participate in 3-5 off-site field trips per year, connecting classroom learning to real-world experiences.

How much screen time is part of the school day?
We believe technology should be a tool—not a replacement—for hands-on learning, creativity, and social interaction.
That’s why we take a balanced approach to screen time:
🖍️ TK-2nd Grade Focus – In the early years, we prioritize hands-on learning and teacher-led instruction. Technology is used sparingly and intentionally, primarily for interactive lessons and learning games.
💻 Purposeful Use in Upper Grades and Middle School – As students grow, they use technology for research, writing projects, coding, and collaborative learning—but never at the expense of meaningful discussion, teamwork, and engagement. At the middle school levels, students use both Chromebooks and textbooks, and have opportunities to explore using AI tools in a safe and guided environment.

How does LACS nurture the whole child?
We believe that a strong education goes beyond academics—it’s about shaping a child’s heart, character, and creativity.
At LACS, we intentionally nurture the whole child through:
🌟 Faith Integration – Biblical truths are woven into daily learning, and students develop strong moral character through chapel, service projects, and classroom discussions.
💖 Social-Emotional Learning – We cultivate kindness, patience, joy, self-control, respect, resilience, and confidence through capitalizing on teachable moments and intentional relationship-building.
🎨 The Arts & Creativity – Our robust Visual and Performing Arts program includes music and fine arts, allowing students to express their creativity.
🏃♂️ Physical Activity & Sports – Students participate in PE, recess, and after school sports to stay active and develop teamwork.
🖍️ After School Enrichment – We offer a diverse after school enrichment program designed to engage and inspire students of all interests.
At LACS, we are committed to creating a learning environment where every student is known, valued, and supported!
