Vanessa (Elsa) Gaxiola

Elsa Gaxiola holds a BBA in Management and completed her teaching program at CSU Fresno. She began teaching at Los Altos Christian Schools in 2021 as the 5th Grade teacher and, since 2022, has been part of the Learning Support Program. Elsa has taken specialized coursework in the Wilson Reading System and Making Math Real, equipping her to support students in literacy and math. Her passion is helping students grow in their love of reading and gain confidence in understanding math concepts.

Elsa’s relationship with the Lord is central to her life and teaching. Being part of the community at LACS has deepened her love for Jesus and strengthened her faith, and she considers it a blessing to share God’s truth and grace with her students.

Originally from Southern California, Elsa is fluent in Spanish and treasures time spent with her family who still live there. She also enjoys traveling and is currently on a personal mission to visit all 50 states, using her experiences to bring history and geography to life in the classroom. Above all, Elsa is grateful for the opportunity to serve students and families in a supportive, Christ-centered learning environment.
