Wendy Lawner
Wendy has been teaching math and English at LACS since 2006. She holds a California Multiple Subject Clear Teaching Credential. Wendy graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with focus areas in English and German. Before coming to LACS, she taught in a variety of settings, which include preschool in Marin County, Kindergarten in inner-city San Francisco, and conversational English at the Economics University in Prague, Czech Republic. For several years, Wendy also taught students in individualized math, reading, writing, and study skills programs in addition to high school juniors and seniors taking SAT English and Math Prep classes. She has completed the Wilson “Just Words” and the Lindamood Bell “Visualizing and Verbalizing” training. What she loves most about teaching at LACS is coming alongside students to encourage, affirm and help each student continue to grow into the valuable person God has made him/her to be. In her free time, Wendy enjoys spending time with family and friends. Some of her favorite activities are traveling, spending time at the beach, reading, listening to music and taking photos.
