Yari Toleno

Director of Marketing & Fundraising

Yari was born and raised in Southern California and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis in Advertising from California State University, Fullerton. Yari spent most of her career working for various nonprofits specializing in fundraising, marketing, and event planning. After Yari and her husband, Brian, decided it was time for her to focus on their family and two daughters, Yari became a stay-at-home parent. Soon, she was volunteering at her daughter’s schools, moms club, and cheer squad. Heavily involved in their church, Brian and Yari led a couples' life group. The Lord decided they were too complacent in their little Christian bubble and uprooted them to Silicon Valley. Within a year, Yari was volunteering and eventually became the PTA president. Yari was recognized for her tremendous volunteer work, receiving the prestigious PTA Golden Oak Service Award. When her daughter Siena started middle school at LACS, Yari jumped at the opportunity to serve on the PAWS board and became President after serving on the board for one year. She is also serving her third year on the LACS School Board. Yari is a Girl Scout Troop leader and serves as a leader on the local Girl Scout service council. Yari and Brian have two daughters: Angela (26), a kindergarten teacher in Belmont, and Siena (15), a 9th grader attending St. Francis High School. When Yari is not volunteering, you will most likely see her and Brian on the pool deck watching Siena play water polo at various tournaments during the weekend or selling Girl Scout cookies.
