Mrs. Gutheil has and will always love California! She grew up in San Jose and went to college in southern California at Azusa Pacific University. After earning her Bachelor’s degree, she continued her education and got her Master’s in Kinesiology. By God’s guidance paired with her love for travel, she spent 3 years in Malawi working at an elementary school. While she was a PE teacher abroad, her job built and instilled in her adaptive and strong class management skills. Since then she has been pursuing teaching, and keeps falling more in love with education. She has always loved working with kids. LACS has been the home that she was searching for after returning to the States. Along with teaching 1st grade, her passions include playing basketball, cuddling with her dog Simba, eating donuts, drinking too much coffee, and serving alongside her wonderful husband at their church.
