As a teacher, Kelley Miller joins her students in being a learner of God, His Word, His creation, ourselves, and each other. It is her heart’s desire to care for the souls of children as they develop spiritually, emotionally, socially, physically, and academically in Christ. She loves the eagerness third graders have to learn and enjoys watching them grow in so many ways throughout the year. In her free time, she enjoys hiking in our beautiful California hills and participating in her church’s worship ministry.
Ms. Miller graduated with a BS in Bible and Theology from William Jessup University, with a minor in Christian Education. She holds a California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential with CLAD authorization and a lifetime Professional Educators ACSI Certificate. She also has a Master’s in Spiritual Formation & Soul Care from Talbot Seminary and a Master’s in TESOL from San Jose State University. This year she is our General Education Elementary Lead Teacher.
After college, Ms. Miller taught elementary students in California, Nigeria, and Kenya. She then taught English as a Second Language to adults for six years at Mission College and in China. She assisted in children’s ministry at her church for a year and was a missionary in Cambodia for four years, pioneering a student movement in partnership with Intervarsity. She has been teaching third grade at LACS since 2015.
