Building Project Update

Building Project Update

Dear LACS Families,

The year is off to a great start on our beautiful campus where families enroll their children to develop leadership, pursue academics, build character, and learn to place service before self. For over 35 years LACS has provided a rigorous yet unhurried Christian curriculum built on a legacy of excellence leading to a future of brilliance for each student.
As we continue the LACS mission, I would like to ask for your support to our Lions Annual Fund that will help our students receive the best we can offer them in programming and facilities for years to come.

Over the past two years, LACS has worked collaboratively with Bridges Community Church, our school board, and our parent-teacher fellowship to make progress with dollars donated above and beyond tuition. With continued help from gracious donors, we have already upgraded the interior of Burkhart Hall, constructed a new preschool playground, increased technology at the elementary level with iPads and a laptop cart, created a middle school one-to-one laptop program, engaged in an 8th grade partnership with NASA and the International Space Station, expanded our K-8 music program, and begun a project to enhance our K-8 playground fencing and equipment. Along with these improvements, we have also been blessed with an increased student population. In fact, the numbers in our middle school program have nearly doubled at each grade level, and our overall school numbers now total more than 250 students in preschool through 8th grade!

In order to continue to enhance our facilities and our programs, we need your help. Our vision is to tear down Peterson Hall which houses three classrooms used by our middle school and a classroom used by students in grades K-8. In place of Peterson Hall, we desire to build a new Education Center to house six modern and spacious classrooms including a dedicated Music room, STEM lab and up- front office and reception space for increased campus safety. We will need a total of $2.5 million to make it possible to complete construction and move into a new Education Center by the fall of 2019. Thanks to generous donors, we already have an endowment of $1 million set aside for this project!
During this next phase of fundraising, we would like to gain 100% participation from our school community to raise $750,000 between now and fall of 2018. As of today, anonymous donors have already given over $55,000 toward this goal! You can join them by giving a donation, a monthly gift, or making a pledge today. Contact me using the information below, or see the attached brochure for details about giving to our Lions Annual Fund.
