Middle School Students are given various opportunities to participate in social activities that serve to encourage character growth and development. Such activities include:
* Dinner and a Movie- Students and staff meet at a designated theater for dinner and a movie.
* Friday Finale- Students can earn an opportunity to spend time once a quarter at a social opportunity agreed by the staff. This reward time is designated for those students who have maintained good citizenship during the quarter. Past activities include roller-skating, park party, swimming party, etc.
* Our biggest social opportunity occurs once a year at the Winter Social. This social event is organized by the Student Advisory Committee (SAC) and the parents of LASC Middle School. The SAC organizes the decorations, music, food, etc. for this event where students are given the opportunity to connect with friends in a safe and fun atmosphere. This year’s event is called "The Starlight Ball" and will take place on February 27, 2009, from 7:30-9:30 pm at the Sunnyvale Community Center.
