LACS Fund Raising
Los Altos Christian School is fortunate to have no minimum fundraising commitments for the families of children enrolled. This characteristic is rare for local private schools. But fundraising does provide for the extras that help make LACS such a great environment for our children. This year the Parent Teacher Fellowship's (PTF) fundraising efforts have allowed LACS to purchase new playground equipment, new science lab kits, help send the staff to the ACSI convention, and provided a very generous Christmas "love gift."  Additionally, the PTF provides several thousand dollars annually for the production of on-campus educational assemblies, such as the acclaimed “Mad Science” programs.

The PTF hosts some fun and easy ways to help support LACS.  The annual Walk-A-Thon raised over $13,000 last year, and the 2007 Chili Cook-off showcased the culinary talents of parents, students and staff while grossing approximately $40,000 for LACS.

eScrip--Easy Money for Schools

Through eScrip, you can help raise money for your school without even thinking about it.  It is a program that you set up one time, and forget it!  All you do is register your Safeway Club card and/or your debit or credit cards with eScrip.  Then whenever you use those cards at a participating eScrip merchant, the school gets a percentage.  Easy, huh?  For more information check out their website at http://www.escrip.com.  You will need to know the LACS Group ID number is 139438210.
Last year the eScrip program raised $5,984 for LACS.  Just think what we can do if we ask friends or relatives to support LACS through eScrip as well!

The PTF Mission

All PTF programs are designed to support LACS in one of the three following categories:  Service Projects, Support Programs, and Capital Needs.
Service Projects are events that enhance the community of the LACS family.  Included in this category are the Get Acquainted Barbecue, the Art and Science Fair, Young Authors Fair, and Year-End Picnic.
Support Programs  directly support the educational experience or contribute to the welfare of the LACS family.  This year PTF will support school-wide assemblies, such as Mad Science, as well as the Annual Christmas Love Offering for Faculty and Staff.
Capital Needs  are expenditures that fall outside the school's operating budget, and significantly improve learning opportunities.
